Yoga at Rumble

A good college friend of mine moved out to Santa Barbara to work on Rumble, a super cool contemporary art fair. They recently had quite a successful show and later invited guests to practice yoga in the gallery space - what a fun idea!

Roasted Veggies for lunch

I love making my lunch. I'm a morning person so I enjoy waking up early and having quiet time to myself in the mornings.  Lately I've been roasting vegetables for lunch - it so easy. I wake up, cut up some veggies, toss them in a bit of olive oil & some herbs, place in the oven, shower and get ready for work, and voila: Delicious roasted veggies ready when I am!

Beloved Books: Arm in Arm by Remy Charlip

I'm excited to present a rubric to my blog: Beloved Books. I have so many treasured books that I want to share. This weekend, I spent Saturday afternoon photographing the covers and some spreads of my favorite books. By no means am I the best book-photographer, but I hope you enjoy!

Today jewel is Arm in Arm by Remy Charlip. It's compiled of silly, goofy short poems & stories, and wonderful little illustrations. It would make a great gift for children, or any child-like adult :) I think the best place to look for this would be e-bay. 

Linnaean Libation League & Flatbush Farm

Last night I attended my first event at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens that I read about in 
a Brooklyn Based email. The Linnaean Libation League hosted a celebration for gin and 
the herbs/plants it takes to grow & flavor that delicious poison. The fashion direction 
was 1960s Palm Springs so not only did I enjoy amazing the Gin "Garden" Martini's, but 
everywhere I looked I saw amazing vintage & vintage-inspired outfits. Afterwards we 
had dinner on the other side of the park at Flatbush Farm - an old favorite of mine. 
I insisted everyone play the fun game of "pass the camera around and take a photo of 
your dish."
